Quarter-Ton Hound’s-Tooth Hat Delivered to the University of Alabama

King-Casey designed and orchestrated the installation of a quarter-ton replica of the trademark hound’s-tooth hat worn by Paul “Bear” Bryant, the legendary former head football coach of the University of Alabama.
More than 11 feet long and weighing approximately 750 pounds, the hat is the key branding element for “The Bear’s Den”, a new signature grill concept conceived and designed by King-Casey, which is located in a prime location at Bryant-Denny Stadium.

Just One of Several New Unique Food Concepts

The “Bear’s Den” is just one of the new food and beverage concepts developed by King-Casey and opening at Bryant-Denny Stadium for this year’s football season. Other new university branded dining concepts includes “Big Al’s” featuring iconic images of Alabama’s elephant mascot, “Crimson Fried” with a mural of archival photos of Alabama football dating back to 1918, and “Roll Tide” which is named after Alabama’s fight slogan.

New Mobile Retail Store

King-Casey also developed and designed a trailer to sell official University of Alabama sports merchandise, clothing and memorabilia. The mobile “retail store” features a 11-foot tall mural with University of Alabama athletes and will enable fans to browse and buy Crimson Tide merchandise outside the stadium on game days.

King-Casey Teams with Centerplate

King-Casey worked closely with its partner, Centerplate Inc., the entertainment hospitality services company that was awarded the contract to operate food and beverage concessions and merchandising for the Crimson Tide athletic facilities beginning this fall. Unique food and beverage concepts were developed, and improvements made to menus, operations, food preparation and efficiency of service. Design solutions that will enhance the dining experience of Alabama sports fans and increase per capita sales. Touchdown!
