The Fast-Growing, Fast-Casual Segment

Fast casual restaurants have become a fully recognized segment of the restaurant industry with over $70 billion in revenue. Every day new fast casual restaurant brands emerge in the marketplace. There's also a “morphing of the restaurant industry” taking place, where casual dine chains and QSR’s alike are altering their existing concepts to appeal to the consumers who are embracing "fast casual".

With all this competition, brand differentiation and staying ahead of the pack is paramount. This is where King-Casey can help. King-Casey is a pioneer in the fast casual segment. Back in 2000, King-Casey conducted the first primary consumer research study on the fast casual category. The results were published as a cover story in QSR magazine.

We have also worked with major QSR brands such as McDonald’s and Subway, to help them evolve aspects of their brand, to better appeal to Boomers, Gen Xers and Gen Y set, who have embraced these fast casual brands.
