MenuMax™: Menuboard Improvement Programs that Increase Sales and Profits

 

Optimizing QSR and fast-casual restaurant sales and margin is extremely challenging in today's struggling economy. One of these involves optimizing the most powerful selling tool in the restaurant environment: the menuboard.

King-Casey's MenuMax™ services are based on 25 years of menuboard optimization experience with many of the world's leading QSR and fast casual brands. We have developed a methodology for making improvements that achieves meaningful and tangible results. King-Casey offers three levels of MenuMax™ depending on your needs: Basic, Intermediate and Advanced (see table, below right). All three levels of these MenuMax™ services include the following deliverables:

  1. Navigation Assessment. All of our programs begin with an opportunity assessment of your current menuboard from a customer use and navigation standpoint. How easy is the menuboard to navigate and comprehend? What are the barriers that slow-down customer thru-put? What's working? What's not? What can be done differently to improve customer navigation and ease-of-use? Our recommendations are specific and action oriented.
  2. Sales Analysis. King-Casey then analyzes sales, cost-of-goods and profit margin data (that you provide) to strategize new menu segmentation, groupings and product placement. We also conduct a sales-to-space analysis to ensure that your menu items are optimized from a space allocation standpoint.
  3. Optimized Menuboard Architecture. At this point, we develop a schematic that illustrates the optimized menuboard architecture, layout, placement and space allocation of menu items. The schematic serves as the blueprint for the design team (yours or ours.) With all levels of MenuMax™, we publish a concise summary report that makes specific, actionable recommendations for optimizing your menuboard, as well as the rationale for doing so.
